Effective date: 2026-09-02

Edara's agents make and answer calls and messages on behalf of the businesses that use them. If you believe an Edara agent is being misused, tell us. Email [email protected] with "Abuse report" in the subject line.

Report to us if you receive or see:

  • Unwanted, repeated or untimely calls or messages from an agent, or contact after you asked to be left alone
  • A call or message that impersonates a person, a company or a government body
  • An agent used for fraud, scams, harassment, threats or unlawful content
  • An agent that does not say it is automated, or that refuses to connect you to a person when you ask
  • A security weakness in the Service, or a suspected leak of data

If you are in immediate danger or the matter involves a crime, contact the police first.

What to include

The more of the following you can give us, the faster we can act:

  • The phone number or WhatsApp number that contacted you, or the website where the chat took place
  • The date and time of the call or message, and your time zone if outside Saudi Arabia
  • The name the agent gave and the business it said it was calling for
  • What was said or sent, in your words, and a screenshot or recording if you have one
  • What you would like to happen, for example no further contact
  • A way to reach you for follow-up

For security reports, describe the issue, the steps to reproduce it and its likely effect. Do not access, change or download more data than needed to show the issue, and do not share it with others before we have fixed it.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your report by email
  • We identify the business and the agent involved and review the conversation records, which we keep for this purpose under our Privacy Policy
  • Where the report is verified, we act: we stop the contact, and we may suspend the agent, the number or the account involved, and end our agreement with the business under our Terms of Service
  • We refer the matter to the competent authorities where the law requires it
  • We tell you the outcome where we can do so without disclosing another person's data

If you asked not to be contacted by a specific business, we pass that request to the business and require it to honour it.

Our commitment

  • Confidentiality: we handle every report confidentially and share your details only with the people who need them to act, or where the law requires
  • Responsible disclosure: we welcome security reports made in good faith, we do not take action against researchers who follow the rules above, and we credit reporters who wish to be named once the issue is fixed
  • Action on verified abuse: misuse of an Edara agent breaches our Terms of Service, and verified abuse leads to suspension or termination
